Arkansas Medicaid Pays for Diapers for Kids
Does your child have a medical need for diapers, pull-ups, bladder pads, or bed pads? Arkansas Medicaid will pay for these supplies if your child meets a few requirements. Arkansas Medicaid will pay for $130 worth of incontinence supplies every month if your child has full coverage benefits. $130 is enough to cover most children for a month’s worth of average incontinence supply needs.
Your child may be eligible for incontinence supplies if they meet the following criteria:
-Have a medical diagnosis, or several diagnoses, that are eligible. Diagnoses may include Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy, Mental Retardation, and Autism Spectrum Disorder. There are other acceptable diagnoses like failure to thrive for example. Email wecare@finneganhealth.com or give us a call to find out if your child’s diagnoses are accepted.
-Have a signed prescription from your child’s Primary Care Doctor (PCP).
-Child is at least 3 years old.
-Child has Full coverage Arkansas Medicaid. ARKids B, also called ARKids First, does not cover incontinence supplies.

Medicaid prescriptions are good for 6 months. A new prescription will also be necessary if you change your child’s size, frequency of need, or products. Finnegan Health Services will take care of this for you, but it does help if the parent or guardian communicates with the doctor.
Finnegan Health Services provides incontinence accessory products as well. Medicaid will cover disposable gloves under a different set of limitations. Baby wipes are not covered at all by Arkansas Medicaid. Finnegan Health Services is able to provide these if your order meets certain criteria.
